About Me

Iris is an emerging artist from Hong Kong currently based in San Francisco.

I like asking: what are we to each other? I am fascinated by the contradictions and unstable boundaries in relationships between us and others, spaces, objects, and systems. I like taking on the role of an experimental anthropologist and explore a relationship structure: when do categories blur? How much can we know another? How is intimacy negotiated? What are the conditions that make a relationship change or become uncertain? 
 

Rather than providing a resolution, I take familiar relationships/structures and place them under playful but unstable conditions to see what happens. I mostly work with participatory experiences, digital collage, images, and interactive installation.
